I want to sincerely thank the doctors of the Mardaleishvili Eye Clinic for their help in restoring the quality of my vision, which was deteriorating every month. I could not clearly see the faces of my relatives …
I have glaucoma and high myopia. After a macular rupture and silicone oil implantation, I developed optic nerve atrophy.
In November 2023, at the Mardaleishvili Clinic in Georgia, I underwent a transplantation of my own bone marrow stem cells to help address my condition. Two days before the transplantation, I had a full examination. My results were: right eye – 3% vision, intraocular pressure 23 mmHg; left eye – 0% vision, intraocular pressure 36 mmHg.
I underwent therapeutic laser procedures – MPLT and cyclodestruction – to regulate intraocular pressure. After these procedures, I have been able to maintain intraocular pressure at 16–18 mmHg with the help of eye drops.
A few months after the transplantation, my vision improved to 15%. My visual field has significantly expanded.
I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Nana Digmelashvili for her professionalism and for giving me the opportunity to live a more fulfilling life for the last two years.
